Homebase cohort:

Guiding followers of Jesus Toward house-church leadership in Common Ground and beyond.

HomeBase is a 7-month cohort guiding apprentices of Jesus toward house-church leadership in Common Ground and beyond. Participants will dive deeper into the bedrock of Gospel and the community of Jesus-followers, explore the principles for heart-level, holistic spiritual growth, all while learning practical tools for leading house churches well.

Hear from guest presenters who are professionals and practitioners in various fields, process learnings through personal and group reflection, practice leading in a safe and constructive environment, and grow personally so you can excel as an effective leader in all areas of life and guide others faithfully in home-based, Jesus-centered communities.

  • What's the content?

    The content presented in HomeBase revolves around 4 central themes:

    - Personal Spiritual Vitality
    - Foundational Theology Themes
    - Leadership Principles and Practices
    - Personal Care for Individuals and Groups

  • When is HomeBase?

    HomeBase is a 7-month cohort, meeting in person for 2 hours every other week beginning in November and ending by June.

    While 2025-2026 is the pilot year of HomeBase, the intention is to run this cohort annually.

    Participants must commit the entirety of the cohort to optimize the learning environment and personal impact.

  • What's the format?

    - 2-hr in-person sessions every other week, centering guest presentations, group dialogue around subject matter, and practice of skills.

    - 1hr of connecting in pairs or triads between bi-weekly sessions to share learnings and support fellow participants.

    - 1-3hrs between bi-weekly sessions of interacting with content (reading, listening, watching, journaling) in preparation for and/or response to in-person sessions.

  • What's the cost?

    While HomeBase will cost time and energy (well worth it, we might add), this cohort is a 100% free offering of Common Ground.
